The GA-400 series is a Big-Face Ana-Digi combination, and Casio wanted to expand the series with some more colours. The GA400-9ADR is one of just a few multicoloured watches, a combination of blue, green, purple, black and surrounded by a yellow band. 

One of the hard parts about making these sorts of watches is the fact that even a small magnetic wave could undo years of hard work. So, in this case, Casio decided to add a safeguard in place. The GA400 series comes with magnetic resistance, so no matter where you go with the watch, it won’t malfunction. 

They also wanted to protect the display, so Casio surrounded it with a mineral glass. This glass has proven to be scratch resistant, giving you peace of mind. 

One thing Casio wanted to avoid is magnetic wave interference. With so many metal gears in the watch, that was a very real risk, and even the smallest waves (like those coming from a microwave or a computer) can have a very real effect. So, Casio made the GA-400 magnetic resistant. Unless you have an industrial sized magnet lying around somewhere, the watch won’t malfunction.
